Thinking of getting some new tyres for my new wheels that I'll be getting shortly.

Car use will be fast road and the odd track day this summer.

What tyres should I go for? And I can only find these tyres in 235 wide on 18" wheels. I think 245 will rub too much.

what you need to think about is sticky( I know not a the technical term) compounds are only sticky when up to temp ,for example slicks are great on track with tyre warmers etc but useless cold, the same effect happens on the road , no heat = worse than an average brand tyre. I doubt you would get enough sustained heat on an average spirited road drive to justify the extra grip offered. btw im on AD08r and think there perfect.

This is exactly my thoughts. I've been advised to run the Toyo 888's on the road as you're able to get heat into them quickly, however with that they don't last long at all. Apparently the new r888r's are a lot better in terms of life, but not many reports from people on here. I run AD08R'S and also think they are incredible! It's daft, I've never once run out of grip on the road, yet somehow I've convinced myself I want/need some proper semi-slick tyres.
