BPR8ES gapped @ 0.6 mm

 

Alright mate got my spark plugs you say to gap them at 0.6 mm however there fixed at 0.7 mm will that make a difference? Cheers

What's the difference between heat rating number 6,7 and 8 and which suits my engine so far I've looked at ngk iridium ix plugs heat #8 at a good price any good? Cheers

 

Those bpr8es plugs are really cheap! How come? Are they as good as the more expensive types?

 

I have lots of these at work and they get taken away every time the bin is collected:crackup:

lower numbered plugs are hotter
iridium good plugs fine tip just more expensive

 

Was running them for years in my E6 right up to 750 bhp, Very good all round plug and as you say cheap.

Boyfriend runs these NGK BR9EIX in his V :smthumbup

 

Always ran br8eix never had problems at up to 2.5 bar .
But no people who run the cheap 1s with no problems
Other than changing them more often

The only problem I've ever seen with the BPR8ES plug is when there has been a bad map..

 

Ran them for a few years no problem and at the price of them I would change them every 4k

 

Cheers people well after fitting new plugs my car now starts properly again and no misfire on tick over happy days :smthumbup in the summer I will replace them again for a cooler better quality plug cheers
