Step 2:

Unclip the cable as shown in the picture and using a 10mm Socket remove the bolt and the cable securing bracket.

 

Step 3:

Using a 12mm Socket and extension bar undo the 2 bolts as shown in the picture. Once again be careful not to drop the gasket when removing the bolts.

 

Step 4:

Now remove the bolts securing the SAS pipe to the exhaust manifold using a 12mm Socket.

 

Step 5:

Now remove the last bolt that secures the SAS pipework to the engine using a 10mm spanner. The SAS pipe can now be removed being careful not to catch any of the looms in the process.

 

Step 6:

Disconnect the pipe shown in the picture and plug using a 3/16th bolt and cable tie to prevent the bolt from being expelled from the pipe. Then tie wrap out of the way.

 

Where does this hose go? Is it a vacuum? Can it be used for anything else?

 

Step 7:

Disconnect the pipe that comes from the hardpipe as shown and blank of with a plug and jubilee clip.

 

Step 8:

Remove the 2 bolts as shown using a 12mm Socket and remove the SAS unit.

 

Step 9:

Finally you will need to source 2 EVO transmission blanking plugs. These 2 bolts will be put in the exhaust manifold in the locations that you removed the 2 Banjo bolts in step 1.

Job done!!!!!

 

You can buy the SAS blanking plugs from any decent hydraulic place much cheaper than using misti parts

 

They are only a few quid each anyhow!:smthumbup
