My post was deleted/taken down for some reason but I'll try again!

Hi Guys, I haven't posted an update in a while now so I will start where I left off. Picking her up from Torque GT.

The journey was most definitely a long one... not just the wait for the car arriving but collecting it and driving home. Taking almost 8 hours of driving to get from the south of England to Birkenhead Docks. A car fire on the M6 had us at a standstill for at least 2 hours. I was stressing myself out thinking we would miss our ferry. However we made it in good time thankfully.

Spec wise it is standard apart from a genuine Ralliart carbon front splitter & Ralliart spark plug cover. I think that's all it needs visually wise really. Enough talking... here's a few photos I took once she was home & cleaned up along with the other half's M3.

It's the small details like all of the doors shuts for example... Sooo clean! I actually couldn't believe it. The previous owner in japan has clearly taken great care.

Door shuts...

And he boot...

Petrol cap...

Before leaving Torque GT they sealed it fully with dinitrol. I also opted to have the cavity protection package, a clear vaseline/waxy type substance it would seem.

Before application...

Image

Few photos of once the dinitrol had been applied...

Image

Image

Image

In the boot you should just be able to make out the cavity filler substance that has been applied (diff oil & windscreen wash compartments)

Image

Image

Since then I haven't so much as looked at her since November time... been tucked up in hibernation until a bit of warmth returns. However it's bloody killing me not driving it!

Currently how sleeping beauty looks...

The parts buying officially started at Christmas time. Santa was kind to me and delivered an APR front carbon cooling panel.

Image

I then picked up some wheelsɉ۬Speedline corse challenge to be exact. These are a lightweight magnesium/aluminium alloy. Commissioned by Mitsubishi as an option for the FQ360 models. A very rare sight I would say. I know a lot of people aren't too fussed on them however I think they suit the car perfectly.

Image

Condition wise they have just been reburbished, I added some new speedline polished centre caps to finish them off.

Image

The wheels were stripped back firstly using some good old fairy liquid...

Image

Then clay bar to remove further contaminants

Image

Image

And finally 3 coats of chemical Guys wheel sealant to finish off the job

Image

Image

To give you some idea of how they look fitted, here is how they sat on the previous car.

My Alcons were next to be delivered, I have a thing for big brakes... it just does it for me lol
Opted for the advantage Extreme 343mm brake package.

So eventually got them opened up after an age trying to get through 20 million layers of packaging... my word they are big...really big..

All's left to do is get a set of pads & brake fluid then I should be set to go.
New rear hooked discs (from godspeed) & pads will be ordered to suit. I will also respray the rear
Brembo's silver to match.

Carbotech XP8's seem to be the way forward, only heard good things about them so that will most likely be the way to go.

Lastly, A few photos Torque GT released onto their website, Might get a few framed or a book made up.

The Tommi Mak I think does still give more of an aggressive stance...

Thanks for having a read, looking forward to getting out her out once the good weather arrives and updating with parts being fitted.

Hello All, A few small updates for the GT…

A package I had been eagerly awaiting arrived a few weeks back... I present my Gruppe M intake... from what I gather these are pretty darn rare!

A big thanks to Paul171278 for it and helpful information provided. Not to mention super-fast delivery!

Will look great once fitted, stole a pic from google so you get the idea for the mean time.

I had went down to have a nosy at her again recently as it's been a while...

Every time I pull the covers back I fall in love again! Looks as fresh as the day I parked it up all those months ago. The front end just looks so menacing! Just wish this bloody weather would take a turn for the better.

Another small update but such a sexy one...

Finally my Carbing Aluminium Front Brace arrived! The sheer quality & make-up of the Brace is astounding! Couldn't believe how light it was either. And the welding... ohh my.

So another piece of the puzzle ticked off the list, I give it another month and the weather will turn... (fingers crossed) and we can all enjoy some dry, salt-free roads again

Cheers!

Enjoying making it YOUR Evo it seems :smthumbup Those Speedline wheels will look epic on that car and still in keeping. You can store all the OEM bits like the wheels and front brace in case you go back to standard.

That looks in great condition, excellent purchase!

Some nice bits going on already too, intake looks nice, very similar to the monster sport one, I'd recommend removing the standard intercooler spray as that then leaves a nice space for a cold air pipe up to the filter.

Thanks very much! I fell in love with the wheels, as you said they are still in keeping with the car style/shape. And yes would be a good idea to keep all the OEM bits too.

Previously had a gruppe M on my DC5 & the other half has a Kevlar Gruppe M on her E36 M3. they never disappoint!

I may look into removing that intercooler spray too. thanks for the tip ;)

Didnt realise how much you have changed already from standard.
Can verify how beautiful this car is in the flesh.

cant' wait to see what else happens over the next while

I had a few bits fitted in terms of performance also, starting with a CTEC exhaust. The noise from this is just perfect, and the quality of welding is incredible
