my brother-in-law has a 53 plate 307 2.0 hdi,just recently he has had trouble with it,he,s taken it to main dealers for a diagnostic check and they found the fault codes as follows;
p1198
p1113

apparently this points to fuel pressure indicator.
today i went out with him in it and as soon as we gone 200yds the engine management light came on and the car went into limp mode,this has happened before,but if he continues to drive it,it clears again.

peugeot have been told about this but all they try to do is sell him turbo,s etc to see if that will clear the fault.

anyone have any knowledge on these cars at all.;)

also the anti pollution light comes up as well,but thats meant to have been done.

Hi mate.
P1198 could be a fault with an injector or possibly a fuel rail pressure sensor.
p1113 is to do with air temp entering the engine

Neither of these would be fixed by changing the turbo. As far as i remember alot of diesel french stuff has problems with injectors. I was a renault senior technician for 8 years, so know that they did. Best thing to do would be to do a leak of test on the injectors.
When i go back to work monday, i will see if i have any adapters to fit the injectors, if i have i will send you them and instructions on how to do it at home, save paying garage bills.

need a airflow meter for air temp fault. and a pressure regulator on the back of the hp pump.also check the loom back through from pressure reg as they tend to rot and break and if its a 110 rhs? open your fuel filter and see if you have aload of brass filing in the bottom. :(
