Movie Downloaders - help needed!

I was given a lesson on how to download movies from my wifes grandfather (he's 74) as I'm not that great with computers  .

I've been managing fine for the last year however recently when I've been opening up my torrent client (TorrentPrivacy) to "seed" the files back and increase my upload/download ratio the torrent client is trying to download every film/album again.

A similar thing happened a few months ago but I susprised myself and managed to sort it that time. The cause was the portable hard drive I was saving the files onto had somehow changed its drive name from ( G: ) to ( H: ). I changed it back and it was sorted.

This time I have no idea what has changed to make it try and download rather than seen the files back.

Any ideas suggestions?

Cheers
Baz

If it is trying to download the file again, it means it cannot find the file in the location it was originally saved to. (As you previously found out)

I'm not familiar with the program you are using, but most programs will enable you to change the location to one where the file is.

Depending on how much you use torrents, it might be an idea to use a seedbox, there are plenty around and some are quite cheap.
A seedbox is allocated space on a hosted server for yourself to download torrents to and then ftp from the seedbox to your machine, you leave the torrent uploading from the seedbox 24/7 and you don't need to leave your computer on. They come with a web front end which looks and feels like a traditional torrent program.
