Hi all,
The time has come for me to part with my Evo 2 GSR in Pyrenees Black. I've owned the car on and off since 2005, most recently since 2012. Since then I've looked to improve and replace any worn parts with the idea I would keep this car for a very long time, and probably be buried in it. Unfortunately circumstances change
In my opinion the car needs nothing, and is a great example of an early Evo that can be enjoyed straight away. The car only runs 1 bar of boost, my aim was to achieve a reliable and original looking car. I would like the car to go to an enthusiast who will continue to look after it.
I have lots of history dating back over the last 11 years, plus the Japanese history too if you can read it!
Mods
Compomotive M05 17 x 7.5 (recently refurbished in anthracite, perfect powder coat & very rare), with Toyo T1Rs
Tein Adjustable Coilovers and top mounts (can be made much lower than current setting, but I prefer this ride height).
Rigid motorsport strut braces front and rear
Cusco lower H brace
Ralliart Engine mount bushes
HKS Hi-Power Silent Exhaust
Decat pipe (plus original cat)
Apexi air filter (new)
Apexi AVCR
Walbro 255
Sard fuel pressure regulator
HKS fuel rail
Magnecor ignition leads
Alloy Radiator
Cusco brake master stopper
Evo 8 metal dump valve
Ark Turbo Timer
Boot mounted battery
Cobra CAT 1 alarm (plus cert)
Boost gauge & Oil temp gauge in matching grey pillar pod
Upgraded door and rear parcel shelf speakers (original covers)
The car has benefited from the following work with receipts (at CPP motorsport):
Fully rebuilt Gearbox
New clutch
New Cambelt & water pump
Full service inc. plugs
Laser alignment
The car has covered 129,000kms, and will have 12 months MOT this week.
Interior
The interior is in very good condition. The Recaros have been fitted with new bolsters so they are nice and firm, and it's got a new OEM gear knob. All trim is present and includes Ralliart floor mats.
Exterior
Many early Evos suffer from roof rust, so I've sourced a new roof panel from Mitsubishi Japan, this has been fitted along with new roof spars to prevent this problem happening again. All work was done by CPP motorsport.
During this work all of the old window rubbers have been replaced, gutter trims, plus the scuttle panel & wipers arms, giving a nice neat look to the exterior. It's also had a new front bumper lip, so all the black trims look good. The rest of the paintwork is good for a 22 yr old car and shines up well. It's had some new rear door decals applied too.

It's a very rare car, you won't see another like this. Please note some pictures are with the old Rota wheels not supplied with the car.
