Very nice, looks like it could be expensive to get to that point though?
Not that expensive. If you have a fog light remove it and you'll find a 64mm hole.
The tricky bit is opening up the light and drilling a similar size hole then re-fitting it all.
I was lucky enough to have a spare light to play with.

You can buy the duct and hose from http://revotec.co.uk/

Darkevo,
Great idea.Serious question,do you have a bung to plug the hole when its raining or does this not concern you?,regards, SIMON. :)
As it's not my daily drive I don't really take it out in the wet.

I've seen a few Evo's with the air filter moved lower and even more exposed, but I haven't heard of any problems as yet.

What about when it's foggy lol! ;)

Round here the police would probably pull me for having a light out!

Have been looking into this recently with not much success but that looks the dogs mate!

I think some form of 'baffles' could be used to stop direct rain getting in, but, wouldn't a bit of moisture would do the car some good??

The E7 RS11 didn't come with front fogs, so I think I'm ok there.

I was thinking of putting a small black mesh across the surface of the whole, just to prevent small birds getting sucked up lol

The gentleman on EvoM is EvoDave, and he can modify almost any headlight and/or tailight any way that you want, but he does it on a core-exchange type basis.

JDM MR, color-matched, etc.

The duct that he is working on will be very similar to your setup, I believe, and he's finishing it up now. He too is having the duct made in carbon fiber and he offers a lifetime warranty on the sealant that he uses when he closes the lights back up.

I'm sure it would be very difficult for you guys in the UK to have it do your lights, but he does great work. :)

I really love this setup.

I have been waiting on Evodave to have his ready and available but I might as well do this myself.

Would you mind telling me where on Revotec I can find the air duct, I searched there but was unable to find it.

btw I tried sending you a pm but your pm quota was full :)

Yea, I've spoken to this guy on evolutionm, nice guy and pretty reasonable rates considering...... only problem is sending them to the US means you'll be without them for a few weeks!

Nice job! Shame it couldn't have had clear tubing put in the actual light with flexihose on the end for the engine bay to adjust the angle.
