Evening all, I've had the eml come on a couple of weeks ago, put it on the diagnostics and it showed as fault P0471 exhaust pressure sensor, had the fault cleared, now it's come back on today, phoned the local Audi specialist near me today, the part is around £59 but they said the labour could come to £300-400 because of where it is. Anyone with any knowledge of where it is located and how hard it actually is to change.

Any input greatly appreciated. :)

If I recall there located on the top of the gearbox its on a little frame bolted through the top it.
It's a while since if replaced one on a 4.2 tdi
They will just lower the rear of the box to gain access to it.
It's a bit fiddly but £400 lol
I do em for half that.
I'm assuming there gona regen it for you as well!:smthumbup

I don't know the problem
All I can say is 300 to 400 is cheap
I have a 4.2 q7 and had 1 problem small that led to bigger ones
In a 6 month period I have receipts over 6000 from Stoke Audi
Nothing is cheap on these cars
I have got to replace the mirror glass and it is only the glass that is broke
Stoke Audi want 409 pounds and 30 pounds to fit it
Expensive parts expensive labour

Well, got the audi back today and the final cost is.............................£546.32 . Involved 1 hour diagnostic, 4.7 hours labour to remove transfer box, both propshafts and centre section exhaust, the sensor and the re-fit. Well at least I have it back now, but what a load of bother just to put on a DPF sensor.

Know of anyone in the NW area that would do this?

Hi all,

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I've a Q7 4.2TDi that needs these sensors replacing. My local specialist would do the work but he says the car is on the limit of the rating of his ramp, and with lowering the gearbox he is worried it wouldn't be safe.

I've tried another couple of local specialists and they can't / don't want to take it on, so I'm waiting for prices back from main dealers (ouch!).

Anyone know of anyone in the North West area who can (and will) do this job?

Don't mind having a ride out somewhere and taking the day off to get it sorted.

Cheers,

Paul
