245s look best on these, and tend to fit without any rubbing on 789s
255s sit perfectly on 9.5" wheels, and normally need arch work unless you drive like a pansy or run monster truck suspension :lol:

can never understand why folk stretch 225/235s onto 9/9.5 rims they never look right in my opinion an surly cant be good for the tyre.
Si as your the wheel guru, my 18inch Ultralite atecs, are they 8 or 8.5 wide.
I run 245s on these, best size i think, just a touch bigger on the profile, car sits quite low on the Nitrons with no rubbing, and the tyre profile is spot on.
Another point also is when swapping to rally tyres or slicks they are usually narrower.

I was hoping for a fit like above... i went with 245/40/18 Falken 452 on a 9" rim, and it looks stretched :-(
It's a pain in the backside that 'same' size tyres are actually different....
Would be handy to have a thread like Conrads 'conrod' thread, but on tyres, with actual widths etc ?

Cheers for the heads up Steve, i must have missed that though... I posted a thread on here about tyre width before ordering, but the thread got no replies.....
Still, a sticky with actual width v's claimed width would be handy for the tyres/wheel section, sure it wouldn't be hard if we all chipped in

Alan, I'd think your Ultralites would be 8 inch if 245s are just smidge wider than the wheel itself. You need to get them off and take a nosey at the back to see if they say the width on them to be sure though.

Did you have any luck finding out what you've got?Too bloody dark will check in the morning lol i know they make them from 8.5j upto a 10.5j so i might be mistaken

What ones did you go for? AD08s are a wide tyre so prob equivalent of 245sI just recieved my new rota 18x9.5 wheels with ad08 tyres in 235/40 and it's just. Tiny stretch so I'm happy with that

Just bought some 255/35/18 Federal 595 RS-R after reading some positive reviews. Apparently similar to R888's, but we'll see
Got them for £470 delivered from mytyres. About £150-£200 cheaper than anywhere else I could find.
