Absolute rubbish though not as bad as Autoglym. Try P21s or S200. Meguar's aint bad either. Swissol goodish but terrible to put on in the winter, and extremely overpriced for what it is.

My fave is P21S with KLASSE all-in-one (put this on first).

Very good product. I've used it for a while. Takes a lot of work, but once finished is top class.

It is expensive, but I've had a tub since 1999 and I'm only half way through it. Probably polish the car around 6 to 8 times a year, when I build up to it.

Zymol wheel cleaner is a very easy and effective cleaner. I never use anything else. Tried them all and they are too much like hard work. Just spray wait ten seconds, quick agitate with brush and hose off.

zymol wax also smells nice when you apply it. :) better finish than autoglym and seems to last longer IMO. Havent used Meguar's cos you need about three products (i.e £20 ++) to do the job (steps 1 - 3)

My step dad swears by washing up liquid, I'll ask him what he thinks if you like :D

Zymol is good you get a great shine, only thing i dislike is the powdery residue it leaves behind.

Thats why i now use swissol, it is best applied on a sunny day as it gets a real lustre in the sun.

Swissol costs more than zymol but one tub lasts as long as four bottle's of zymol so the costs even out.

The reason i asked is, there are some authorised 'DETAILERS' that apply the wax for you, and i was considering getting it done. I have looked at a few of their web sites and i am very impressed. :D

I use the wash, high gloss polish and wax, I use an electric polisher with the polish and then apply the wax by hand

wonder wheels on the alloys and turtle wax do this nice gel for the tyres :)

I have tried Autoglymn and meguiars and I find this is the best for the car, makes it look like the day it was driven off the forcourt,

I'm not a polisher :D Just try owning a black car!!

Zymol is great

my car came with that on, applied by a specialist co. apparently.
I didn't know and washed it with the wrong stuff and the finish was fooked from then on :(

looked like someone had smeared vasaline all over my car  you could see the stuff moving on the surface

Had to wash it many times with very strong washing-up liquid solution to get it off.
would never use it again and my advice would be don't put on customers cars unless you're prepared for the barage of questions & complaints that will inevitably follow due to miss use.

No reflection on the product, but it's a high maintenance product and should be only used by car owner who should know how to maintain it.

IMO ;)

  What Zymol are you using? Zymol doesn't come in a bottle but in tubs and costs more than Swissol. In fact, Swissol is really a copy of Zymol and there are court cases going on at the moment about Swissol "passing off". In particular, the cases revolve around Swissol use a very similar container to Zymol and the names being similar. There have even been stories about Swissol "nicking" Zymol recepies but I don't know how true they are.

Some bad mis-information going on here......

Zymol is without doubt an excellent product. I have used many so-called waxes and polishes onver the years, and without doubt, none come close to Zymol.

As one corrrectly points out, PROPER Zymol comes in tubs. These are their waxes. They do a cheap cleaner wax, which isn't very good, but it is a cheap product, that does come on a bottle. Don't use this though.

Zymol, when used properly, does provide an outstadning shine, lustre, AND protection, and also provides an exceoptinally hard coating for the car. I have used Zymol on my old Subaru from new, and in 18 months use the car didn't have asingle chip. The paint looked better than new.

I recommend you buy from www.vertar.com - very knowledgeable poeple, who ship very quickly, and provide the full prodcut range. Check out the instructions for Zymol before use. There are some very particular useage instructions, but if these are followed, you'll have a superb finish for years. Just don't go putting washing up liquid, or anything else, trying to strip it off, like some monkeys would do...!

ATB with the car care.

Sorry late to the party as usual hehe

Zymol is amazing, when used properly, but to see the full effect 5 hours really is required and everything does have to be done properly.

When I first posted my pics I had just done the full treatment.

Once the full treatment is done you can just wash and wax which takes about 2 hours to do properly.

I am being perfectly honest - after you wax your car, you end up using the same microwipe to clean your windscreen. A bit of wax accidentally comes off onto the windscreen, completely invisibly, until it starts raining and you find you DONT NEED THE WIPERS!!

Seriously, on the motorway the water rolls off the top onto the roof, and you honestly don't need to use the wipers.

So imagine the actual waxed paintwork :)

zymol

Simon u r right swissol is a rip off of Zymol, apparently one of the ex employees started up swissol. I havent seen so much crap talked on this forum for ages. NOTHING on the market is as good as zymol properly applied. the finish will stun you. Meguiars is very good and does a similar system but is a synthetic equivalent, wheras zymol is totally natural, and their wax is natural carnauba rich, so this is why its exspensive, its not a rip off, just the best. It cant be stressed how important it is to be properly applied, maybe a day to do a whole car  but theres no such thing as a free lunch, and why zymollikes to sell through suppliers who can apply it under controlled conditions.
