Just for the record my 225/40x18 Yokohama AO48R's lasted 4000miles of mainly fast A roads/motorways.

They did however also survive around 40 quarter miles (inc.TOTB3 last year) and also 20laps of the Nurburgring in sub 8.30min laps.

Not the cheapest of tires, very stable though, and really did come into their own at The Ring, more so that using them on 'ordinary' shite british roads.

The cars only used in the dry so carnt really say, although i remember at 120 on the motorway in pooring rain the car did get very light and unnerving - backed off to 80

In damp conditions certainly very good though. I would say a very good summer tire, however in a winter i'd advise a more 'road' orientated tire.

Carnt compare to 46's though compared to Yoko AVS tires the turn in is better, feed back better, and out and out grip better. Life span alot worse!
