Hi,
Put my car through the NCT (National Car Test) yesterday. Car sailed through emissions (0.6vol% CO and 175ppm HC) which suprised me as i sent it in with the Blitz filter and BOVhttp://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/happy1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle >. The Competition suspension passed no problems apart from rattling the guys fillings out when it was put on the vibrating pads[img]http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/biggrin1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle >. Brakes perfect although they where road tested rather than rolling road as they only have 2WD rollers!. But guess what!, they failed my car on a poxy worn front wishbone bushing!![img]http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/sad1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle >.
Anyone have an idea of how much these cost taking into account that i will replace the 4 bushing on the front wishbones. Also would i be better off replacing these with Proflex items to compliment my suspension, that's if the can be got for the 1800 GSR which i'm sure shares the same bushings with the EvoI-III?.

Regards,
Paul.C

Sorry if im being a bit dumb but Ive drank a bit to night.
In regards to Evo 1 and 1800 I know tonyC had trouble fitting brushes to the rear anti role bar on his Evo 1 that were meant for the 1800. Not sure what a wishbone is (sometimes im so crap) however if you contact jim at Whiteline, at Whiteline.com.au, his e-mail address in on the website, he may be of some use. Got my suspension from them and it may only take a week to get them over, sooner if you pay more for air mail. Dont know why the brushes didnt fit the Evo 1, have ask TonyC.
Sorry couldnt be more help, going to sleep now, if I think of anyting else will post it.
Cheers
Al

Getting drunk then posting on the web !? Thats so sad http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/biggrin1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle >

No idea on cost, but proflex don't do any bushes for the Evo 1-3 and I'd guess not for the GSR either.
As Al says, try whiteline. They do poly-bushes that also improve the geometry at the front. I can tell you from recent experience that the suspension on the Evo 1-3 is different to the GSR. The rear front wishbone mounting (!) for example is different. I'm working with Whiteline to get some similar bushes made up for the Evo that do the same job as the GSR ones. (Takes a while though - all done over the web [img]http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/sad1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle > )

Postage from Aus isn't to bad either.

Hope that there not too different as im hoping to put on Evo 3 struts to the RS tomorrow. Have been told they should fit. Larger hammer should do it.
Other thing which you could try are brushes for the Proton, the one with the lotus handling package, they could be uprated. Dont know, was going to use the front struts of a proton, but they put be one hold for 15 mins. So hung up, good hunting, let me know how you get on as I may want some soon.
Cheers
