Anyone know if Wilwood brakes are any good?

I bought some 4-pot Wilwood calipers for my second TR8 - not impressed. I had to get them machined to fit properly. However, the supplier wasn't much help. I'm sure modern fitments will be designed for specific fitment!

First TR8 had AP's - no problem.

i am not sure about wilwood but i have custom front rotors with hand made aluminum bells for $nz1000 (290 pounds) from a place that specialises in custom making race brakes. they sell a range of calipers (including wilwood) and can custom make caliper/rotor kits to suit any any application

as i am still awaiting rear pads and have not bleed yet i have only reached 600C rotor temperature which is still not bad (start to glow at about 680)

wilwood are ok. Most club and full on race cars use them.Including all the v8 series cars here in new zealand.

Thanks for that, the problem we have got is finding someone to make suitable discs for us also. Spoke to a guy at the Autosport show who was very helpful and can possibly sort us out, if we take his route we would then end up with AP calipers (wicked!) Looking at all sorts of options at the moment, lot of head scratching going on!!

I asked Wilwood before and they said there's no brake kit for at least Evo4.
