Why are evos so addictive?

Sold my evo 8mr rs about 6 ago and thought that the time had come to try something different so bought a peugeot partner van and sold it again about 1 1/2 weeks later was just horrible.
Looked at a couple of r32 golfs nice and comfy but just didnt give the feeling that the evo did. After looking about for the last few weeks have just arrived home tonight with a nice white tommi mac, not sure how it will fair compared to my last car but certainly will enjoy finding out over the coming weeks and months. So as above why are evos so addictive?

chemical release of endorphins. If you want the real reason.
What more could anyone want from a car? Need i say anymore!
I know that this isn't entirely relevant but i have been a Die Hard Honda owner for the past 4 years starting a 2.2 Vtec Prelude and the most recently an Accord Type R which i very recently swaped for a mint Evo 4, the feeling that i get when im in the Evo now is that it looks Stunning (Its Scotia white with Carbon Fibre Bonnet by the way), it sounds good,it goes goes fast and it gets attention wherever it goes.I really think i have found my perfect car now as it has the ability to satisfy your needs in so many ways. I don't think i would want to go for anything else in the near future, i even drove my Brother's in-law 370z which he purchased recently and he got it mapped to over 370 bhp but even though we have almost the same power the evo feels different in so many ways. Thats just my opinion anyway

comfort after more than an hour.
comfort after more than an hour.
As well as full use of my hearing after taking the car for a drive.
I got my 5 for the Friday big shop. Could get everything in my previous MK1 MR2 but the EVO is a far more sensible and practical car.:)
Like anything else that makes you feel good and gives you a rush, its an addiction that may cost you a fortune :)

May cost you a fortune?

Evo X covers that too. Most comfortable car I've ever had and still does 4 second 0-60 :)
What else could you buy that is so cheap for the speed and handling?

I'm not addicted to Evo's i'm addicted to the ease of speed. I could'nt justify running one as a daily runner (30k per year) but when used as a second car and B road blaster + the occasional track car i don't see anything that compares apart from a Subaru but their like a clitoris as every **** has one.

A motorbike
....because they break and we enjoy laying out money to fix em'.;)
A motorbike
I bought an R6 last summer and am debating whether or not to buy an R1 this year or next. You're right a bike is quicker but i like the best of both worlds:lol: Besides that, bikes are totaly different from cars and i have mates that choose one or the other as it depends on tastes, and needs.

The Evo wont be behind a bike on the twisties if driven well and i always feel a little further from death inside the car.

Darren
I would still have my evo over a bike any day of the week :) I can do the shopping in it :D
ive had a gsxr 1000 k6 and it scared the **** out of me 186 mph in a straight line, only me on it i enjoy the evo cause i can go out on a sat nite with my bird and a few mates in the back and have a laugh u cant do that on the bike also its alot safer my opinion!!! they are addictive cause there good crack!

Better interior
Better fuel consumption
Lower insurance group
Smaller steering wheel
Lighter

:D

Still great tho.:D
Phil, are you sure you don't want a fiesta instead? LOL

Paul, hope you enjoy the Mask :smthumbup, and to answer your question, i gave you my answer a couple of years ago when you took me out for a spin in the RS. My answer was "I need this power in my life" I missed the acceleration after i had traded in the first Mak. It's great to be able to jump into a car with that performance to give you a big grin after a drive :D
Keep the comments coming lads.

It would def be hard to equal the power and handling for the money plus the smile it puts on your face when you hit the loud pedal is priecless and you never grow tired of that feeling.

Cheers Dave i remember that night alright, the mak is def no where near the rs in performance having had a bit of drive in it today but over time maybe it will get there (money pit just opened its doors again)
