Ok guys, our first roofs are now leaving the drawing board and heading for production.

We would love to know numbers who would be interested in these. The plan is to have something as good as the popular quality VARIS roof's we all know from Japan.

Heres the good bit, we can be VERY competive with pricing as we have no middle men to deal with AND we are producing it at our unit right here in the UK :) No long waits and you can even pick it up OR we can even have it fitted for you by our good friends D&S Motorsport who are on our door step.
These will be a complete replacement roof not just skins. Made in the best quality, strongest and lightest pre-preg carbon fibre.

Very rough ball park but we are looking at around the ÂŁ600 mark!! (not including fitting). Quite a saving on the Varis roof with all its shipping and the current exchange rate.
As soon as we have pictures of the development i'll post them straight up!

Please put your names down below so we can gauge numbers.

Thanks

Si

UPDATE!!!

Finally, we have the news we wanted to share.

Yes we have had delays getting to this stage but this wasn't a product we would just knock up. We have shown you from beginning to end how it has developed and it has gone through a couple of revisions to make sure we achieved the end result we were aiming for in a finished product.

Here are pictures of our first Roof, we will have some nicer gleaming product pics up ASAP but we know how long many of you have waited already. It has been rinsed down in the pics.

The roof only weighs 2.4kg! OEM roofs come in at 10/12kg.

We also now have on board an expert ex Ford Mold maker and also a carbon laminator with over 6 years experience working with Porsche, F1 and Lotus. We now have in place the team, the stock of carbon we needed and most of all the R&D out of the way to develop MANY carbon products in a vastly reduced time frame :)

For now just some pictures to show, tomorrow we will put up prices, lead times, payment options and will start taking orders.

Thank you all for waiting so long, we can also tell you that other models of roof ie 8/9 can and will be produced very quickly now.

Cheers from all the team.

Hi, we will have all the details up shortly so people can order.

We will work out a price to ship to the Netherlands. Shipping of the roofs will not be cheap as possible they will be very well protected. These wont be shipped in just carboard and bubble wrap, a wooden frame structure will hold the roof secure. Ideally we would prefer people to pick them up from us. If you do want it shipped in the UK or abroad we can.

Good point. Picking it up would be better indeed, maybe combine it with a weekend visit to the UK then :coolsm:

How far are you from Dover?

NOW READY TO TAKE ORDERS.

UK made to exact OEM spec EVO 4-6 Roof FULL pre-preg Carbon fibre (not wet lay or fibre glass mixed in) Very light, very strong. Your existing roof liner can be used or left out.

Huge weight saving looking to be 2.5kg mark OEM roof is 10-12kg

Lead times, once order placed and paid for allow 1-2 weeks for it to be made (we are aiming for 1 week). Gone are the days of waiting for over seas containers at 6 weeks a time only to find the product damaged.

The big one PRICE. Not including delivery ÂŁ760 which is an introductory price and very competive indeed with no crazy shipping prices! We can't hold this price for long as anyone who knows Carbon fibre Pre-preg is usually 2-3 times more the price of Wet lay products. ie all of Seibon's carbon range is Wet lay for example and not sold carbon.

Now for even better news!! We will drop this price to ÂŁ720 to MLR members if we can get 5 quickly confirmed and paid for orders. This will give you a bit extra for the fuel tank to pick them up :) First 5 only

Payments can be made via Bank transfer, or Paypal.

Contact us if you do require product shipped in the UK or Overseas. We may run a personal delivery service up to a certain distance for the UK.

Many thanks

Team SJS

We have spoken to Dave at Hyrbid paintworks (based in Harlow, Essex/Herts border) today and discussed the fitting of the Roofs.

He has said he can fit them for ÂŁ500 + ÂŁ100 for the guys to remove/refit the glass.

He also has said if he can get multiple bookings he will drop another ÂŁ50 of the price.

A good price for the guys in the South.

I popped in to see the chaps at SJS today.. :D

Felt the wieght of the std roof in its unpainted form, and the weight of their new carbon roof..

What can I say, the difference is massive!!

Quality is good, and nice knowing they wont release any items without being 100% happy with them.

Good work SJS, I look forward to some future purchases.. ;)
