Looks to me like those links are for the US, where the crash protection is different anyway.

AFAIK, there was never an NCAP or anything done on a 7?

Don't forget when making your decision, while one might be slightly safer in a collision than another, one may put you in a collision situation more than another :)

To be honest, year for year i doubt there is much in the crash protection of an Evo and a Scoob so you would be better off making buying decisions based on other factors.

I would say that you should buy a scooby, and save some money... spend the extra money on advanced driving instruction and track experience. This would seriously decrease the risk of doing something wrong and stacking it and tbh it wouldn't be such a shame to see another scooby in the scrapper’s yard if it does go all pear shaped ;) just kidding but proper instruction is a very good idea.
