Which additional guage?

Getting 2 guages in an a-pillar pod and am just wondering what the best guage would be to go with a boost guage.

Not sure which info would be of greater use to me, oil pressure or oil temp once the mods atart going on the car???

Don't really want a 3 guages, specially on the a-pillar.

PS. Seen some guages on Nomadracing.com which are well priced, can anyone veryfy they are any good in quality and accuracy?

Now there's an idea :smthumbup , price is a bit off putting with the Defi's unless any1 knows of a cheapish supplyer.

Be gud 2 have both bits of info in one guage tho

tis a tricky one as both are worth knowing IMO, as a lot of peeps dont realise just how long it takes for oil to get up to 'tonking' temp

and the pressure is useful for obvious reasons

do you have a boost controller? if not are you gonna get one in the near future? reason being that they display boost anyways, so you wouldnt need a boost gauge, so could have both oil guages

just a thought.........

Cheers Rich, the AVCR is on the cards in the v near future so agree probably better to get a dual Defi or 2 Oil guages (temp and pressure).

o yeah, i remember now

IMO, get a dual pillar, and get some decent oil pressure and temp gauges, get the avcr fitted nice and neat, and theres no need for the boost gauge

Spooky, I was going to ask the exact same question! I decided against a boost controller after getting a Motec ECU fitted. Was looking at what additional guage to add to a Defi boost guage. Didn't know that you could get a split oil temp\pressure guage. Thanks Andy. All I need now is the money

Cheers for that Paul. Defi's look the bizz with the black display but really are top money plus u need the control unit to to connect them up to.

Thinks it gonn be a n oil temp and an oil pressuer in a dual pillar mount.

One last question though if anyone knows about connectivety. Is it just a quetion of fitting a sandwich with the sensors for both these units between the oil filter and its fixing or is the temp and pressure obtained from different places?

you can fit them both in the sandwich plate, although i do prefer to fit the temp sender in the sump (you can get sump adaptors or drill and tap the original sump plug), reason being this is where the oil is sucked from after all.........

the sandwich plate makes life much easier though

Looked at SPA dual gauges?
Top quality and very tidy.
Have the facility to switch things on and off at preset points, adjustable warning lights, change brightness/colours etc.
