I've come to fill in the details on the V5 and can't find the engine number. Can anyone light the way please?

its stamped into a raised bit on the side of the block behind the turbo/ under the exhaust manifold, youll need some wire wool to clean up metal, and a torch to read it!

Don't worry about it Dave I, like many, didn't fill it in on the V5 as I couldn't read it.....

Sorry mate I was supposed to get back to you on that and I didn't (did I?).

As Splodge says you can see it if you look from the front left of the engine back behind the exhaust manifold. It's on the front top left hand side of the block, raised up and unpainted. You can read it if you use a torch at the right angle so it casts a shadow. Its two or three letters and four numbers e.g. AB1234.
