What vavle srings do i need???

Just bought JUN 272 cams,solid lifters,what valve springs do i need......are solid lifter valve springs diffrent in any way??

cam why did you go for solid lifters - they are a pain - need to be adjusted every so often - once a month to start with as they bed in then every 6 months.

i suppose they do give faster valve acceleration at opening, but this may start to cause valve train wear problems (after a couple of years).

you should not need different springs for the solid lifters. however if you went for a stiffer spring rate they might allow you to rev much higher. having said that the std valve train will take high revs as the valves do not tend to float.

maybe check with piper.

This advise was from Simon Norris????

Im really out of my depth on this subject mate...so you recon any uprated valve spring -i.e piper,crower,hks would do.

P.S got a deal cams,s lifters,hks pulleys,retainers.

Anyone one else inlighten me on this subject??
