i was told my turbo boost is only 0.8 on my car and that means my turbo is broken. how could it happened????only 7000 miles, xtreme said they will tune the boost from 1.3 to 1.4, but is only 1.1 at the moment and they can not get any higher. are there really a problem with my turbo???

Standard boost tends to increase for each Evo generation. Which Evo have you got?

Not sure on the 8 myself, but would say around 1.1-1.2bar.

Definitely won't be less than 1bar.

Get the boost checked with another gauge first. If it's not boosting high enough, but running fine I'd say your problem is elsewhere. Check if the car has been played with and the actuator to start with.

Sounds odd that Xtreme have said that. I'd ask them exactly what they think is wrong with the turbo. Perhaps it's the wastegate, but they should now.

i was told something about turbine, weastgate or pipework and they have to check, but it cost a lot if the turbine is broken.

if there is a problem with the turbo, can i drive the car?? before i dorp my car to them, it was running fine(i think)

It really depends what the problem is, but as long as the turbo's not losing oil you should be fine.

For Evo8 Jap Ver.... the spike boost is 1.5Bar and its peak hold is 1.3Bar on a standard car with everything standard
