What boost should i be running????

But the car does need mapping, personally if you are just going to run the base map i would leave it at base boost.

Get it mapped and have a chat with your mapper is the best bet.

He has said that he feels as if 1.3 is enough @310 atw.

But i know many people on here run more without any problems(as yet)!!

craig m8 mines was running 1.3 bar for 309 atw bhp with my ecu and i've never had any problems i recon it may even run at 1.6 bar with out no probs just go to alan and colin at ava they will keep you right !!!



it'll still not beat mines and wulberts !!!!! :p :p :p :crackup: :crackup:

Craig, If you get it mapped properly, there shouldn't be any reason you can't run 1.5 bar mate.

p.s. I found the problem on my car & was nothing to do with any mapping ;)

We'll woop Wullbert & Steven nae tother a baw :D

you only have higher figs because my throttle had been altered and the ecu was getting an out of range signal to it. so dinnae start yer p!sh.


stuart was boost are you running in yours??

1.6 peak 1.5 holding bud ;)

When I last visted AVA, the car was over boosting. This was caused by two lose manifold/turbo bolts :eek: :eek:

The gasket had burn marks across it :mad:

Sounds like a nice bhp figure for the boost, how is the torque though as I wouldn't imaging it would be that high with only 1.3 bar :confused:

Hi chaps,sorry to but in but being as you lot have mentioned AVA,i have just fitted an apexi avc-r and after spending bout 50 quid on fuel setting up and still spiking and fuel cutting i decided to book it in at ava and get em to set it up correctly on the R/R,what i wanted to know was will i get a print out of the boost curve? and i understand the bhp print out will be based on an at the wheels figure,so how do i convert the figure to a flywheel reading???

hi fraser, you will get a curve showing what boost you have at certain rpm levels this will come on the same sheet as the bhp. the probably could do just a boost curve aswell.

just stick to the wheels figs, to get an engine fig u need to dyno the engine. AVA say to approx add on 40bhp.

ifyou have any questions colin and alan will answer them for you, just dont expect to understand it all as its quite involved :D
