You can't go wrong with a K&N they have a proven pedigree and have been around for ages.

You are gonna get personal recommendations I would imagine but I am very happy with the Blitz Sonic that I have on my 6. Having checked the pipework it appears to be filtering well.

Another good option is the Apexi Power Intake

i have a blitz sus. im happy with that but as someone previously stated its personal opinion. think it depends if your going for any sort of "look" under your bonnet also.

apexi is best imo,stay away from the hks ones as tests have shown there filtering qualitys to be rubbish,but then again you cant expect much from a peice of sponge:blah:

Can you explain how using a vacum-hoover can prove a filter test being good or crap??? How is all that dust going to travel into the engine bay? Unless you live in the desert:mhihi:

The HKS reloaded filters better than the stock box and filter if changed/cleaned on the correct intervals.

Also the flow is excellent.
