Traveling at 70mph the car cuts out starts running on 3 with a few pops n bangs out the back .. Pull over , restart the car and alls fine.. ONLY does it when your traveling at 70mph for a few mins..

Changed the coils and leads but still does it..

Done a search on here and they pointed to coils playing up but thats been ruled out..

Unsure what else it could be ?

Oh yeh when this power loss happens the revs drop and boost drops.. Engine light comes on,, Pull over car still runs but on 2 or 3 only .. Turn it off restart it and it runs fine so its like im resetting something..

Fault code was logged as "Miss Fire" which tells me naff all really.. Could a cam sensor cause this?

Does it at any speed.. .. Very strange..

That is strange but I'd go for the cam position sensor.

Fitted a MAF sensor today still does it..

So that leaves Plugs , Crank Sensor or some dodgy wiring somewhere

The code I got from a Mutt device at a tuners was "Miss fire"

Only other thing it could be is the wiring for this Evo 7 Ecu maybe that wasnt done right?

try putting your old ecu back in & see what happens

also....
check fuel pump....which maybe failing under load
if not chanaged already, I'd go for a Walbro if you've upgraded the ecu and increased the boost

good luck

Its an Evo 6 engine which was fitted about a month ago
Its had a new walbro pump fitted then.. new fuel filter..etc

The car was on a power fc but since sold that .
running a a evo 7 ralliart ecu now tho so have no spare..
Plus some of the wires have been changed over to fit this so I cant just fit a std evo 5 ecu..:blah:

You mean the ecu plugs had come loose?

I will have a look.
I have no old ecu just the evo 7 ecu fitted..
I noticed today it doesnt happen while on boost.. Only when traveling at a steady speed.. hmmmmm
