The passenger side windscreen washer jet seems to be leaking a fair bit , but only under braking.

Yesteday i did some very hard braking and it actully sprayed the window.

Anybody got any ideas as the why it is doing this?

And any possible solutions?

Many thanks

It's pretty common. There is a return valve thing you can fit/get fixed ISTR. My VI did this and I didn't bother fixing it. It does leave water trails down your bonnet though.

This happend to mine.

There is a small valve in the bonnet that gets gummed up with dryed washer fluid, they cost about £2.50 from Mitsubishi (or Halfords)

Cheapest part you will ever buy for the EVO :D

There are a couple of threads on here that will give you a part number ;)

Cheers Aidy,

Anybody got any ideas where this valve might be on an evo 7 , and whether its possible to fix yourself?

If not i will try and find the part number and order a new one .

Thanks
