The results of the blacking out of my lights, now that it's all back together.

As you can see, they've not painted the indicator segment (a decision they made themselves), and the inside of one of the lights is a bit dirty, even though I reminded them especially to be extra carefull about that!!

Anyway, this it what it looks like (I have yet to find silver bulbs in the correct fitment, I think they'd obviously look better than orange, but it'll do for now.)

Isty... did they butcher the clips that hold the lights together, on yours as well, or was my bodyshop just particularly inept. I think they've used the original sealant to re-seal them as well... just have to see what happens.

I have a feeling I could have done a better job myself.

No mate the clips are fine. But i did have a little attemp myself and bodged a few clips then gave up.

You sure they put them through a bake cycle? my man said it was easy enough to do once he got some heat in to them.

Also, I saw 'Whitesharks' DIY job the other day and you could hardly tell the difference compared with MR lights. I had to lift the bonnet and check for myself lol.

Those headlights look great. I'm seriously thinking about toning down my headlights and tail lights. Have you done the rear's too?

Not having looked at an MR that closely, have they got front and rear light reflectors painted black / matt black?

looking good... got mine done too when i first got my car middle last year..

the front headlights was a breeze, i've taken the rears apart and am going to get it on together sometime this week... bet its gonna be a B17ch doin it...

They have yes, I've not done the rear lights though... not sure I'm going to really.

Isty - It sounds like my 'bodyshop' did a pretty gash job of it. I should have just been brave and done it all myself. They said they couldn't get anything to come apart on the usual bake cycle, but instead had to use 'infra red'. I'm not sure what exactly is involved with that, but it obviously gets things hotter.
