Hey guys, happy 2011. We just completed our first round of testing with the car, an event called the Texas Mile. It's a standing mile competition here in the states. I knew going in the car wasn't geared for the mile, but either way it was going to be a great spot to get some valuable engine testing done.

You'll see in the vid how long I have to cruise in 5th before going WOT again near the end of the traps. With proper gearing I think the car would easily hit 210+mph...maybe next time right? The car is making around 700whp on AMS' Mustang dyno and weighs around 2,850lbs. Also running KAPS dogbox with Group N gearing.

Over the winter we also spent a good amount of time detailing the car, even doing paintless dent removal haha! The paint was in excellent condition, a testament to my OCD and the protection of the vinyl wrap for a portion of the year in 2010. Enjoy and I'll have some better pics of the car with it's new livery shortly.

wide open throttle
Nice video! Very Pro!!

Car looks, sounds and goes awesome! Look forward to seeing some more of it.
great video,thanx for sharing Ryan
Nice.

Would have been nicer with data overlay showing 0-30, 0-60, 0-100, 0- 180, 1/4m, + 1m.

But i suppose i'm biased :)

Dario

Edit: read a bit more.... That is a really good video!
That is one awesome looking evo X :coolsm:

Nice one Ryan. The car's looking very mean. The Hyper Zeros look good in gloss black..... nearly as good as the CE28N's :)

Any reason why you ran a that rear wing?

I wish I had that data, but I run a really simple setup and have never collected that data. Maybe next time if I run the mile for real. Thanks man

I agree the CE's are better, but nothing wrong with having q back up pair (btw they are Advan T7's). And the wing was on to test the car as-is in T/A spec. The car was so far from being aero limited that it wasn't necessary to remove it.

Thanks for the good words everyone!
These X's have started to look awesome recently - low, dished/wide wheels, they look :smthumbup:mitsi:
Ah right - I've not heard of the Advan T7 - they look exactly the same as Hyper Zeros. Who copied who I wonder...

You're a wheel whore Ryan.... you should try a set of Advan RS-D's on yours.

Very sexy looking wheel. :mhihi:

Just imagine what your car would do with the right Aero and gearing.
Next year you should go for it and take on the Supras and Twin Turbo Galardos. :naughty:

I had to laugh at this **** talking vid
