Very Scary News

dont negative comment as im worried for mom as me and dad work nights every two weeks

just had a phone call from my mate who owns a focus st. he was looking on the forum and he said down the road in my area litterally (i know the house about 300m away) a bloke has an st and a group of people broke into his house last night or night before and couldnt find the keys so went into his bedroom and proceeded to batter him with bats and the man half dead jumped out a window to get away.

what makes this scary is that on my drive i have an evo and guess what a focus st 500 limited edition. it has already been robbed once so we got a dog and cameras. but i recon if they are willing to near enough kill a man for his car cameras wont stop them

i keep my keys in my room and i am not willing to give them away at all, might sound silly but i would rather fight then just let them have it as its mine and no scumbag is just going to walk in and demand without at least limping out

what weapons are you legally allowed to have in your room

The dog.
Where on earth do you live ?

If your not getting chased your getting cars stolen.

Time to up and move i think buddy.
the dog looks the part but is softer than my pillows

i know gezza surrounded by scumbags used to be a nice area (mom and dad say) years ago and he said within the last 10 its just gone threw the floor

so dad bought a house in france and thinking of selling up soon
within the last 10 its just gone threw the floor
Could be anywhere in broken Britain now mate :shake: Scary news indeed.

I keep a cricket bat and a paintball gun in my bedroom :mhihi:
cant have anything nice, im just waiting for the day someone catches me and i get battered for the evo
Just buy a bigger Teddy bear and hide behind that :shake:

Oh and leave the light on as well.
an old mate of mine left his wife with a loaded 9 MM browning in the bed side cupboard ,when we went to sea ,he was fully licenced for it he collected guns
personally i wouldnt risk anything leave the keys in plain veiw in the kitchen if they are so desparate to knick your car by breaking in with bats and stuff then why put yourself in any dangers ,its only a car if its insured

You'd be suprised..

I have a staff (yeah yeah chav chav blah blah) who is soft as ****... cept when my ex was walking him when it was dark, she got cornered by a group of three lads being very threatening for money etc lets just say she walked away and they ran, (he didn't touch them) but turned in to a beast snarling and barking like she'd never seen before.

n my house I have seven dogs, and the slightest peep out side and they erupt you wouldn't make it up the drive without being noticed, and if there brave enoguh to come in the house after that.. good luck to them

No one is licenced to own a 9mm.

And OP, it wont happen, but if it does, give them the keys, you are insured and you cant claim the insurance if they kill you.

Buddy, see above. Whilst I agree, whole-heartedly with your sentiments, if someone walks in to get your keys, you mightn't even be awake to be able to stop anything. God forbid, you could be dead before you awaken. I would neither risk my life, nor that of any loved one, for a car.

proberly before the gun laws changed !
A gun in the bedside cabinet is a good idea , i recently heard of someone who heard the dogs going mad downstairs and went to the top of the stairs only to be faced with some guys saying "Throw the keys down or we will come up for them"
Leave the keys at the top of the stairs.

That way if they've made their way up the stairs to get them from you, they'll see the keys and hopefully go and won't touch you/family.

You could probably have it written into some will that, in the event that you're murdered whilst some thug is trying to steal your car, the insurance shall pay out. Or something like that.

So how many cases of people breaking into houses, killing people in thier sleep, just to steal their car, have there been in the uk? Im guessing <5.

people in the uk. 62 odd million.

someone with a math head work out the odds?

Improbability doesn't mean impossibility. Sort of like the amount of good sales on here versus bad. May not happen often, but does. And more times than you may care to believe.

I'd say "come up and get them yourself you lazy *******".
