What is it with Vauxhall driving w4nk3rs? :evil:

There I was minding my own business, accelerating at a steady rate from a round about, down a dual carriage way.
Along came a dark green N reg Vectra, no lights on (it was 8pm) and getting ragged silly, flew up behind me and then swerved round, about a foot to the side of me, and cut back in front (no indicators, I don't think the Vectras come with them as standard, bit like the 3 Series) and continued up to 100mph+ and as soon as he was about 200m in front, slowed down to about 80mph.

So I finished accelerating to my intended speed of 100mph and started to catch him, as I pass, his hazards went on - now I was REALLY confused by his actions and wanted to inflict pain upon this **** for getting so close to my car when passing

I looked at the ****** as I passed and he was about 30 years old with KIDS in the back. Poor children.

Did he genuinely think he "raced me" and won?
Is it the fact there was "a 16 year old" driving a car he could only dream of owning and it was pure jealousy?
Trying to show his kids that his Vectra can beat the car they've got on GT4? :crackup:
Any ideas? I'm lost.

Anyway, that's my rant over.

1 - I assume you were on private land, as obviously 100mph is highly illegal and very very dangerous

2 - Are you sure it was a Vectra and not a 260?????

last night down Park Lane I pull up to an Audi 1.8T and stop beside him but a little forward.

The chav pulls up beside me and starts revving.

On green he's off, redlining all the way. I kept up but didn't want to overtake. He's stats swerving all over the place between cars.

At Hyde Prk corner roundabout he pulls across in front of me to be 1st at the lights....

I decided to "let it lie..."

Had a similar knobcheese in a focus RS in Sheffield the other night. Pulled next to me at the lights and looked and nodded, naturally I looked round to see who he was nodding at? He was none too pleased and assumed I had taken the **** out of him and his little blonde in the front

As the lights changed he was off and running, now normally I don't do this sort of nonsense but thought "ok, lets go?".

He got a seriously good view of the back for a few mile needless to say the blonde must have upset him as they started to rant at each other. :crackup:

I kind of thought the conversation must of gone something like ... "now didn't he just hand you your ass?" :crackup:

(for the politically correct it was late on the Sheffield parkway with 3 cars between the lights and the M1 roundabout

had it the other week with some young bit and her other half. Right up my backside to the point that it was making me nervous how close so dropped down and ragged it a bit just to get a bit of distance then all i got was constant flashing.

Translated, you were hogging the outside lane and not pulling over even though you knew there was a faster car behind you? I'd of undertaken you too. :shrug:

Wait I'm sorry let me get this straight I know you weren't pushing it but the vectra was accelerating out of a roundabout faster than you normally do in your 340? With twice the horsepower and AYC?

I was in the inside lane.

It wasn't accelerating faster than I normally do, no. But it was on that particular occasion - I was driving at about 1/3 throttle and therefore the power difference and AYC would not have entered the equation

Fair enough To be honest I reckon he was really happy to see the car and wanted another look and wanted his kids to see, so he nailed it past you as fast as he could so that you could then overtake him again. Happens to me all the time I prefer to wait till they're almost past then shift into boost and accelerate away making them look stupid and have to merge back into the left lane behind me.

wasn't it a marea weekend?

anyway...had someone in an RX8 try it on....he couldn't get passed on the busy 30mph limit, and I wasn't about to kill any children...so I just let him ride on my bumper :crackup:
