Ahhhhh , a fellow preservation enthusiast !! No way could I subject my Evo to the ravages of winter salt etc !! They look like s++t very quickly if salt is allowed to have it's way !!
Mine is kept in a dehumidified garage from October to March ' ish.
Wish it didn't have to be that way , but doing this has kept my car looking like new and retain far more value. Also , it's a joy to work on , no corroded bolts etc !!
To be honest , Evo's are s++t in snow anyway , I've had to drive customers cars in snow and ice in the past and frankly it was bladdy scary !! Probably more tyre related than anything else , or possibly that with hard suspension.
Global warming might change the situation tho , it's been so mild here in Worcester that we've barely had any salting so far this winter. Any warmer & the Evo might be on the road virtually all year !

Here we go again....
... mines garaged, its the only way to keep the car looking fresh; first time they see salt the alloy starts corroding, the metalwork dulls off and they look very tired very fast, i guess it depends on how keen an eye you have, and how long you plan to keep the car
