I am trying to arrange underseal for my 5 and have been advised to go for wax oil in the box sections and for zircon 3000? for the underseal this has high resistance to stone chips and apparently stays ever so slightly soft so they bounce off rather than chipping it. Any view if this is good advice? Circa £250.

I did my 6 myself. Cost around £25 for 4 cans of Shultz, and a few pints for the borrowing of a ramp. Can't see that any of it has chipped off. £250 seems a bit excessive. My local mitsi garage quoted me £85, but I did it myself to make sure it was done properly, and that the drain holes were clear etc.

If you do it yourself try to make sure that the car is dry and has been for a few days. No point in sealing water in.
