Chaps,

Whats the general view on Turbo Timers ? are they essential or not ?

I tend to ease off the gas at least a couple of miles before I am due to turn the car off at point of destination, therefore I dont think I'd need one as I dont really abuse the turbo by turning it straight off after a good burn up. However, as TT's cost bugger all, I'd rather put one on if it will prolong turbo life.

I had one built into a Clifford 600 alarm that was on my V, which was key fob activated and quite a cool posing toy - alas, no TT on the VII as yet.

Views ????

Waste of M8 , yr doing the right thing already by driving moderately a mile or 2 B4 u stop. Modern water and oil cooled turbo's don't suffer if they r treated reasonably.

I had a Turbo Timer fitted a couple of months ago and it gave me nothing but trouble.
It didnt seem to be able to work properly with the alarm.
I dont know if it was down to the fitters or not, but I had it took off , and now do what you do for the last mile or so.
