Hi Guys,

When your car is boosting is there a small light that is supposed to come on in your dash to indicate that the turbo is in use? I notice this light come on when I start up the car but after that it never appears again... any ideas? or is it just a nothing.

ohh by the way, I installed a Turbosmart Type III Supersonic BOV to my Evo 5. The Value performs sweet and Its kinda insanely loud but hey its sounds good huh

Do BOV's cause any damage to your cars at all ? Whats the benefits of having a BOV that vents to atmosphere ? besides being able to scare old ladys waiting on the curbe to cross the road of course.

Are you sure thats not an overboost light?
Bov won't hurt the engine or turbo venting to atmo is fine

Do BOV's cause you to have more lag ? Are they potentially damaging to your car in any way ?

A replacement BOV can be damaging to your turbo, but it is unlikely. If the spring on the BOV is too stiff, it won't open properly and wil cause your compressor to surge.

As long as you are not hearing a fluttering sound when you lift with your new BOV, you will be okay.
