I'm sure someone else here remembers when EVO magazine did a group test of modified Imprezas using the STI Prodrive Performance Pack as a yardstick.

From memory there was a group of packages tested a price similar to the PPP and producing 300 to 330 bhp.

Then some more expensive packages covering seriously modified cars (perhaps including the Litchfield Type 25).

Is it now the time for the MLR to do some independant testing using it's new equipment.

If this is not appropriate, should the MLR or interested members ask the question of EVO magazine in the interests of science, and where to spend our hard earned cash for the best drive.

My recollection of the EVO magazine test was that the test was scored on both perfomance (datalogged) and driver impression, not Rolling Roads.
