Hello again!

I am planing on joining a Race What Ya Brung amateur race sometime April 22. I was wondering if anyone could help me with the ff concerns:

1.) Oil Starvation at the crank bearings / sump - I understand that when given huge g-loads, oil from the sump can go to one side, leaving another part of the crank and its bearing without oil for a few vital seconds. I understand that if this happens, well goodbye engine internals http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/sad1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle >

2.) Oil blowby due to sustained RPM - this has happened to me twice (HH6 and Evoboy, now you know why I'm freaked out!) What can I do to lessen oil pressure from the sump?Do you think an oil catch breather / canister can hlp alleviate this?

Again, HH6 and Evoboy? You knowledge and Wisdom are much needed! It's gonna be run on a very tight and short track, about 1.2 kilometers, lots of slow turns
AND NO RUN-OFFS!!!! Hehehehehehehehe! I've run my car there before, and it was fun!!! Highly addictive!!!! [img]http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/happy1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle >

Botchi,

Oil starvation,
The standard oil system will be ok , it's designed to cope with oil surge in the sump.
Maybe if u were on slicks and cud hold the car in continuous 4 wheel slides , then possibly some concern , if u saw what our motoring programme testers do to Evo's to impress the viewers without any ill efects then u cud be certain http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/happy1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle >
Just ensure yr oil level is to the max dipstick mark.

U shouldn't suffer excessive crankcase pressure on this type of circuit because u will be on and off the throttle.
The breather catch tank is still a good idea though , it prevents oil vapour condensing on the intake pipe work which wud pollute the mixture going to the engine.

Have fun [img]http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/happy1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle >
