Hi folks

Tackled my rusty manifold heatshield this evening. Took less than 2 hours all-in.

Removed...



Clean-up job begins with a scotchbrite wheel and electric drill



Nearly prepped - using KURUST to get into the crevices



Paint going on - I used Halfords VHT spray paint in metallic black



Nearly cured...



Easy and quick :D

Now all I need is some new stainless bolts.

Anyone know what size the bolts are???

Stainless bolts arrived yesterday, (M8 x 12mm) so here's a pic of the finished install...



I'll get round to some heatwrap on the manifold soon...

I did this to mine when I first got my car. It's so easy to do and really tidies up the engine bay, the stainless bolts really puts a clean look on it too, well done. No excuse for a rusty manifold cover :lol:
