Hey all, I had my clutch replaced a couple of weeks ago and it feels like it wants to slip when I'm really hammering out. I a had a look under the car at the bell housing and noticed the fork is really to one side, almost as if when the clutch is fully engaged some pressure is still being put on the plate. There is free play in the pedal in the car and the pedal is adjusted to the same height as the brake pedal. Reverse also now feels like it's starting to lock out does this look ok or not?

I've read the fork should be dead centre of the rubber grommet, at the moment its way off this

To add to this, under the car I can pull the fork so it disengages more and sits centre with ease but it bounces back to off centre after letting go. Looking through the bellhousing I can just about make out the throw out bearing moving towards the pressure plate when I pull the lever more towards the centre so it doesn't look like there is any pressure on the fingers at rest I've just seen pictures of other people's forks that are way more centered

The Evo clutch is of the Pull-type, not the conventional “Push-type” in most other cars.

When new, the fork arm will be as yours is, towards the engine. As the friction plate wears over time/mileage, the arm will end up more central in the hole. It’s sprung-loaded, hence why it returns to its forward position.

If the clutch is slipping, it points to either a glazed friction plate/flywheel, faulty cover plate, or the clutch’s torque-handling capability is insufficient for your power level.
Ok I’m just being paranoid, it may not even be slippage. I can put my brakes on in 5th whilst also accelerating and the revs hold. I’m thinking now it might be a slipping alternator belt/bad alternator and bad voltage is causing a slight misfire. It’s has brand new coils/leads/plugs but the car definitely isn’t happy voltage wise, the car almost stalls as soon as the fan kicks in when it’s warm
