·The MLR has been invited to the ultimate in comparison days being held on Saturday 4th August. There is already an amazing entry list from SIDC, Skyline Register, GtiR's, RSOC, TVR and Viper clubs etc, so we need to show them what they're missing!!
The venue is Elvington Airfield, nr York, and the events will be:
head to head drag racing, two cars at a time, with a full timing gear and staging lights as at Santa
Pod. ½ mile timing will be provided!
One car will then carry on for a top speed run at 1.5 miles down the runway where a speed trap will be
located. Speeds of 180|PLS|mph expected here, maybe more!
Throughout the day a seperate handling circuit will be in use, to show that it isn't all about straight-line prowess too!
A top production team will be on hand filming the day's events with both external and in-car cameras, interviewing the drivers and finding out more about the cars and modifications. Timed split screen action will also be shown from the circuit as well, with sponsors RC Developments on hand to dish out the trophies.
To take part in this fantastic event is just £70 per car. It is invite only, upon successful application, so therefore limited numbers of cars taking part and limited queues!
Initially the ten cars are being selected by the respective clubs / groups. Spectacting will be limited in numbers and strictly controlled for Health and amp; Safety/Public Liability reasons. Tickets available to club members.
