Wizzbang why would the op fill in the sequence of chassis numbers for red Maks ive never heard anythink so stupid, and why would he do this for what reason it's no advantage to him.

The guy that put this together - over 18 months of work - for the benefit of this community, deserves some thanks and applause. There will always be data that can't be irrefutably confirmed.

Even if Mitsubishi put out production numbers, how do you actually confirm all their data is 100% accurate and free of errors.

Some long time members here who bag this guys efforts and the discussion around it, should check their gold card rights. There is also a deafening silence from some previous commentators.

It's a robust discussion had by people who are interested in these things.

And finally - black really is the new red!

Yes. People who were very vocal are now silent. The same can be said of the OP. He has explained how difficult and time consuming pulling the data together was. But is silent about it's origins.

As you say data from any manufacturer can and probably will have its errors/limitations. As I explained in the previous thread. A manufacturer will block out a range of chassis numbers for a particular model and colour. Many blocks then make up the production run for that model for that week. This information is then used to put together the parts catalogues for the garages and parts dealers. But part of the production run could be cancelled due to a parts shortage. The catalogue will not be changed as phantom chassis numbers will not stop the catalogue identifying parts for a chassis that was built.

So the question of province is important. Was this data pulled from a parts database? If so it may not be representative of what actually left the factory.

It is good that people are willing to pull this data together. I do it regularly for my work. It becomes a powerful tool. You just have to remember it's limitations. This database looks to be an excellent tool to confirm your chassis build. I am just not convinced you can use it to prove production numbers.

I would say that many many TME owners appreciate your huge efforts on this. I can understand why some members may either not like the information you've provided, or query the source (a legitimate ask I'd say).

However it seems this shines a totally different light on the cars production numbers, colours etc and brings together a huge amount of information in the one spreadsheet.

I would ignore comments about this information not making a difference- of course it makes a difference. It would be great to somehow ratify each owner to car. Something to think about.

I don't think anyone is disputing the time and effort you have devoted to this. I know pulling data together into a coherent database can be a labour of love.

So far everyone who has posted up has found your database to be accurate. So it looks to be a good tool to verify your chassis build. But unless every TME owner, past and present, checks their chassis details we cannot verify that every entry signifies a chassis that left the factory. That is an impossible task.

The only route left is provinance. What database's have you used? Are they direct from Mitsubishi? Are they based of factory output?

the biggest mess was done so far because some people only measured the European market that has a different data base or the Japanese market on a Different Data Base. This is a complete job with all the TME cars that have been built. I will give you an example of the Perfect Evo 6 Monte Carlo (it's 5 Tommi makinen RS cars, which in England has been called Monte carlo version) Lists them as Evo 6 TM RS Which is the official name of the manufacturer. Monte carlo is a name of a dealer

Other information that I can confirm with confidence is that in the European (JMYSNCP9AYU00xxxx) market we have only TM RS and TME RS2 LHD and RHD and not GSR. In the Japanese market (CP9A-020xxxx) We only have TME GSR and TM RS Only RHD And No TME RS2

I can give you information about the brochure. There are four different,
1)We start from the broshure With 7 papers And 14 pages in white color and in calendar format and in Japanese language which is the brochure of the Japanese market and reports TME GSR and TM RS RHD in 5 colors (and blue).
2)is the Australian broshure a paper with 2 pages in black and it only mentions TME RS2 RHD in 4 colors.
3)is The European broshure 4 papers with 8 pages in red that mentions for TM RS and TME RS2 LHD and RHD in 4 colors.
4)is the UK broshure which is identical to the European 4 paper with 8 pages and refers to TM RS and TME GSR in 5 colors (and blue)

I could write to you for months full of information, for a lot of but many things that could help You recognize the authenticity but if the car is complete with genuine spare parts and correct codes because unfortunately the data on the internet But also on many delegations are very poor and do not help someone build and complete such a car. More information published on the web is not complete. I am a fan of TME since 2000 and I managed to get both European models TM RS LHD and TME RS2 LHD original and 100% stock. My problem is that I do not know English very well and I have difficulty translating and writing a text. My Knowledge is useful to you

OP thanks for your replies . Your English is better than my Greek! It seems that people are piecing together a lot of information from all over the place. It at least gives more data than what we had previously. So thanks for putting in the work

The issue you have is that some owners won’t want to admit their car is on the spreadsheet. It has ruffled some feathers and now the next thing is verification. The select few that have checked their Vin numbers are on there is a good indication the list is correct. It is getting some of the owners who are happy to make negative comments and to question the list to verify their TME as being on it.

As far as I can see there is no issue, both of mine are on this list which is a good thing because at least they are not ringers. The point some of us are making is it makes no difference how many of each colour there are which is what is being discussed here. The "Red" TME will always be the poster car end of, that's just the way it is. To gstefanos well done for your hard work :smthumbup

Agree with M3 Rob. All 3 of mine are on the list as well - But I didn't really need this list to verify that - There are multiple websites you can plug your vin into and get similar info. Its a nice to have however, since its all in one place. Great work putting it all together.

Is it possible that some VIN's in the sequence didnt get built ? The only way we'd know this is if we get the build info from the Motherland, which I doubt exists anymore, possibly long gone as Mitsubishi couldn't care less. I guess they were too busy winning championships at the time instead of counting and documenting VIN numbers for future Evo owners. Nissan now could care even less.
And honestly, I could care less.

At the end of the day, CP9A-020 and JMYSNCP is all that really matters.
