Yes tonight i am going to drive a EVO6 gsr.2300miles T reg.its up for £23.995 but im sure they will take an offer on that as i can get em cheaper of the net.Still it from a mitsi dealer so i might get a decent warranty and maybe they will chuck in a few goodies.

Jason,

does it have new brakes, tyres, oils ? Or more to the point, have you seen the spec of my lower mileage car ... all for under 19,900. Still has warranty as well which can be renwed for less than 500 quid.

Never quite understood the attraction of warranty from a dealer. Not only can a dealer hide the history of a car better but a warranty is worth sod all most of the time and can be bought for far far less than the preimum that you pay for a dealers margins.

Jason,

be carefull of warped brake disks. My E6TME's disks were warped from day one (when I brought the car from
a Mitsi dealer). The best way I found to detect warped disks (without really pushing the car) was to drive at
different speeds (high speeds close to 60-70 mph) and moderately apply the brakes. It usually shows almost
immediatelly (brake judder) but in some cases you may need to aply the brakes a few times before sensing
any judder.

I am saying this because many people seem to have experienced warped disks.

Welcome to the EVO world, all the best.

Jason,

I know of a person used to have an RS500 and an escort cossworth (in a bubble) down in Southampton.
Could that be you ?

Regards,

Alex.

I had a test drive from Warrenders over the weekend just gone. Well impressed, can't wait to get one. I didn't have a pleasant experience at RalliArt though - I'll be putting a story up on my website soon.

Jason.

That seemed like a lot of money for a GSR. Last November I paid Ralliart £21995 for my 6GSR, it had just 3500 miles on the clock. I thought that was overpriced!

Still, it's only money

If you're going up on the Bank Holiday Weekend then go on the Saturday or phone them about the Monday as I don't think they're usually open on Bank Holiday Mondays, wouldn't want you to get there to find them closed! :)

Good luck with the search.

Jason,

yes, that was Richard I was refering too (I had forgot the name).

You can give Ralliart a call and arrange the test drive but if you have a full day to spent I would suggest to
try Warrenders (further up North in the Manchester area too).

Good luck,

Alex.
