The price of SUL is only 68p per litre GBP in the south of ireland. Not that far to travel for cheap fuel but i dont think the boats will let you travel with fuel.

If you could get away with it, it may be worth taking a van and a tank over and filling up

Ok, so 18-22 mpg may sound bad, but think of this; my mondeo 24v only does 24mpg average, and it's total ****!

The evo only SEEMS bad on fuel 'cos of the small tank!

Also, Optimax is only 69p/ litre round here now, that's 65p a gallon cheaper than 12 months ago! Always look on the bright side of life, da da..... da da da da da da.........

Geezers my evo7 does about 140-150 on a full tank, that not right is it as my evo4 did about 180-190 and that was tuned up.

Hehe, the price has dropped here too. Something like 57p now. Maybe this could convince some of you to come down to the Rallye Monte Carlo? ... Hmmm... doubt it...

Good point Pondy, i never thought of that

My old crapper of a cavalier was a 1.6 litre 8 valve and it done 30mpg. The Evo doesnt seem so bad now
