ok all you boost control freaks, can anyone show me the true path to boost godlyness.....

between the Blitz SBC id (or DC?) and the Apexi Super AFC, which is the best.

opinions on a postcard please (soon, as christmas is coming and i need to get my order in before the wife changes her mind)

I think that the DC has more blobs (two) than the ID and has the off facility oh and has egg fried rice instead of special fried rice...thats what i thought anyway..:):)

blade

the DSBC seems very simplistic compared to the new blitz and the apexi, does it do everything?

Lee, dont #### about go for the Apexi I can guarantee you will be happy with it,its a great bit of kit and costs less than the Blitz,Get RC to set it up for you though ,its all in the setup.Pop round and take mine for a drive its savage,I was told by my passengers at Snetterton in the afternoon, that in there opinion compared with the other Evo's on the day mine was the fastest !and it was ,I have removed the Sports Ecu the car is now much more responsive, more low down torque, and goes like a train in 5th.

Give us a Call,I know I am enabling your addiction but then I am in treatment ,and I have a long way to go ,a day at a time.

Regards Barry:)

Lee , the Apexi boost contoller is the AVCR not AFC.

The basic Blitz is the DSBC; the advanced Blitz is the SBC-iD.

The Blitz SBC-iD works in a similar way to the AVCR in that
you set a required boost level which can be adjusted throughout
the rev range. With Blitz DSBC you set a solenoid duty cycle %
and raising or lowering this increases boost, but you cannot
adjust this at different levels of engine speeds.

Basically, this means the SBC-iD and AVCR give you slightly more
accurate boost control across the rev range, meaning you
can get a little more boost lower down the rev range.

Personally, I still prefer the Blitz DSBC due to its simplicity and
the ability to switch between 4 boost programmes whilst on the move
by twisting 1 knob. You cant do that with the AVCR.

I do have the AVCR in my supra, and I can understand why it appeals to
gadget freaks, it is a rather nice toy

The Blitz SBC-iD is even more advanced than the AVCR!
it even communicates with the power meter ID by infra red to
give speed related boost control !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But retail on the Biltz SBC-iD and power meter id is over £700|PLS|v 8-(

The Blitz SBC-iD and Power Meter id are both half din,
they fit snuggly together under the head unit and look AWESOME !

Retail is as follows :

SDC-iD £525|PLS|vat |EQU| £616.88

Sorry for the delay Lee.

Right, the harness you require is £30|PLS|v, have been on order since mid
Nov and are expected in early Jan. It allows you to take just about any
reading from the ECU your interested in. WICKED.

Power Meter id and SBC-iD are in stock and it wouldnt cause much
grief if you fitted them, then did the harness another day
(infact, I have yet to sell a harness to anyone with these units)
but I can see why you would want it !
