It probably promotes carbon build up but to be honest my mitsu dealer removed it before I even picked the car up.
stupid question!
i`m sorry if this is a stupid question but just need to clarify something before collecting my mr 320.i have done a search on this forum in relation to the "baffle" that is found inside a new vehicles exhaust,i am aware that this can easily be removed with just a screw driver but my question is when??? 
it seems that some say remove it when you pick the car up and others say it should remain in place for at least the first 100 miles or even leave in it place all the time.what is its purpose and what is to be gained by removing it??? sorry,but answers would be appreciated
