a stroker changes the length on the con rods to give longer strokes,
a bored out engine changes the piston diameter to a bigger value
and a short block is basically a bottom end (block, crank, pistons, rods)

to get more torque you'd be better going to a 2.6 if you can

is the 2.6-2.4 a different bottom end our is it bored out to a 2.6 ?

i guess it depends on the kit but I would imagine that it has both a stroked crank and bored out pistons

no it normally done on crank throw , ie a 4g64 crank in a 4g63 block with standard rod length and stroker pistons (short distance between gugeon pin and crown);)

2.4 - 2.6 would be a 4g64 block which is slightly taller than the standard block and and slightly larger bore diameter. ( i think by 1mm )
