does someone has the same problem

if you put the steeringwheel in the middle and then slightly move it to left and then to right or right to left i feel some ticking in my steeringwheel can i solve it or is it my bearings

I thought this was not normal too, but having heard/felt it in two other Evo's, I think it's fairly normal.

I believe that this is probably normal as i experience the same thing with my 6, and the same thing happened when i test drove my friends 5. anybody know the cause and if it actually is normal for this to be happening?

It is possibly the steering wheel position sensor for the AYC. I am not sure if it is a cam and microswitch design which you would hear or optical/hall effect design which you wouldn't.
I will have to listen to my steering wheel but when no ones looking, I just imagine it........presses ear against centre boss......honestly officer I wasn't asleep at the wheel!
