just fitted an sqv to the evo,as got one ridiculously cheap...was worried about stalling probs,but car is perfect,could the mines ecu be the reason?

In my experience the HKS Super Sequential BOV is one of the few valves that doesn't cause stalling on an early evo, even with a factory ecu, other valves will cause lots of problems, but not the HKS.

yep i fitted a HS SSQ yesterdsay and it has no stalling at all and alsoi doesnt come open at half throtle on motorway like blit did
