Just driven my 8 home from work and a few miles in i started to get a screeching/sqeaky sound from my front offside wheel area. The noise would speed up and slow down depending on my speed but braking would completely stop it whilst i was braking.

Am thinking it could be a stone between the pad and disc as once i'd got home i noticed there is a pretty big groove all around the disc now. Thought this could be the problem while driving so done a couple of heavy braking tests. Now been out for a 10 minute blast and all seems quiet again

Stone inbetween pad and disc or something more sinister?

i have always got the radio on, so if it did i didn't notice it. I did have a little feedback on the pedal which caused me to look, that's gone now the stone has been removed.

Ok thanx mate, mine seems fine now 2 days later so must have been a stone too.
