I'm getting a sqawk from the rear end. Really noticeable at around 25mph + when turning the car lock to lock.

Is it the rear diff on the way out ??

It probably just needs the AYC oil changing at the main dealers.

Do a search on AYC or squawk, there is loads of info. also look at EVO FAQ

Had AYC fluid changed in July last year @ 42,000 by dealer. I think my car was manufactured within the recall dates of the AYC ECU but according to the dealer when I asked previously about a recall on the oxygen sensor there was no outstanding recall work to be carried out.

I had this problem a few weeks ago but after an AYC oil change it went. It seems that the particles in the old oil cause friction between the AYC plates causing it to sound like you've just run over a chickens wing!!!!!

I had this as well and was cured with changing all ayc oils ,not a murmur since january.

Make sure they do the 3 reservoirs,

Fluid should be changed every 4,500 miles, not just every July!

Sqwaking has stopped, not cos it is resolved but due to the fact the bottom end letting go I think
