I fitted Speedline Corse 18" to my Evo 8 and wondered if there was supposed to be any offset when using 235x40x18 tyres, or do they just bolt on?

I have some 18" Turinis with the same size tyres and they fit standard without any problems.

I must point out the I don't actually know what this means Ought I to take the car into a tyre specialist and have them put spacers on or something?

Heh, well - depends on the offset to begin with of the alloys..? Ask the supplier to give you the offset info of the alloys you have bought and you can work it out from there.

Just had a set fitted on my MR. They are 18x8" offset 35 with 235/40x18 Michelin PS2's and went straight on - no issues. Guy at the suppliers (Wheel Base in Oldham) said they came off a 'Mitsubishi' palet (whatever that means) but they are available from dealers as an aftermarket option (no doubt at a vastly inflated price).

Mine are 18x8 ET35 5x114.3 aswell with no spacers required.

Sorry for hi-jacking your thread,but I was just wondering if anybody knows if having the wrong offset on the wheels would do any damage to the car or handling.Mine are 25 offset and rub occasionally when I am going very hard(a local bodyshop will be sorting the rear arches),but apart from that I dont feel any difference.
