just read the arguement about doing 170 down the motorway, i have exceeded this on my bike and was very aware of the risks involved and also very relaxed with it.
if cars were not designed to do these speeds why do they?
and why buy a rally prepped road car if u don't want to drive it like one?
i'm not one for speeding around built up areas at all as i drive for a living and couldn't burden the thought of injuring someone through my actions, but if not on a motorway then where do you open one of these things up?
stay cool.

I know where you're coming from m8 - how come when I do 140 on a clear derestricted German road, it's OK, and do 140 in UK in same conditions and be sent to prison? And similarly 69mph in the fog isn't OK, but many people who don't speed, do drive too fast for the conditions - 30mph by a school etc...

Cheers :)

pointless bringing this up again as 99% of the mlr never exceed the speed limit excessively, well apart from that one time but that was different etc etc etc..........
